Yes, I go slower, although that's the nature of the beast (need
to change from 1.5" tires, which will help) and I am lower to
the ground.
What keeps me in the rear of the virtual peleton is that by
being wider (42" or so) I can't often get between lanes of
traffic here in the city (and presumably elsewhere) as hte
2-wheelers can. While I never had trouble getting through the
bollards surrounding Lafayette Park, the White House and
Pennsylvania Avenue on my way to work on my V-REX or Rocket, on
the trike I have to inch my way VERY slowly through them.
Regardless, I love riding, and am grateful that I have been able
to ride at all in the 8 years since the first of many medical
issues and multiple surgeries.
Thanks for keeping me up to date
With the DC recumbent rider forum.
I'm not sure if anything but these reminders are coming
through.
We have a huge interest in trike riders who want to go
on rides with other trikes.

While recumbent two wheelers have little if any trouble
(except for some occasional snubbing and snobbing)
participating in 'regular' group and club rides, the
trikers often feel a bit awkward and get even more
snubbing.

Someone suggested regular get togethers and an online
meetup group.
While a busy season ( after a slow winter and soft 2014
and 2015) prevents
my organizing such activities and group, I'd like to
offer support in the
form of loaner trikes, starting points with parking,
restrooms and
refreshments at both of our shops, and tech support.

Please pass this on to anyone who might be interested
